Claire Collobert Angelle was appointed director of the mayor’s Office of International Affairs in July of 2013. A native of France, Angelle came to city government after serving as press attaché for the consulate general of France in Atlanta. She also obtained extensive work experience in business development while working at the French Trade Office of Atlanta, the International Center of Lafayette (Louisiana), and Invest in France (Belgium office).
As Director of International Affairs for the City of Atlanta she plans, develops, and implements the international activities of Mayor Reed’s office. She assists in facilitating trade, economic development, tourism and cultural initiatives of the City of Atlanta through liaison with local, national, and international agencies.
Ms. Angelle is Certified Global Business Professional (CGBP) by NASBITE International (National Association of Small Business International Trade Educators), which confirms her practical knowledge in economic development, global marketing, international business recruitment, and international trade and export promotion. She is fluent in French, English and Spanish.
