EXIM BANK: KEEPING AMERICA COMPETITIVE IN AN INTENSE GLOBAL ENVIRONMENT
EXIM Bank is an independent federal agency that is ostensibly recognized as America’s official export credit agency, but it is more than that. Aside from contributing to U.S. economic growth, it is also an important force that is strengthening the capacity of American companies to effectively compete with an aggressive Chinese state supported machine that seeks to undermine American economic dominance around the globe. In essence, EXIM Bank, through strategic loans, is essentially engaged in an asymmetrical economic war with China in the “Gray Zone”. It is an economic warrior and is needed more than ever in the face of a determined adversary.
