Exploring Estonia - the land of unicorns and transatlantic partner for America

Often referred to as the "land of unicorns" due to its high density of startups, Estonia is seen as a unique blend of tradition and cutting-edge innovation, a country where medieval castles stand shoulder-to-shoulder with digital hubs.

But Estonia is more than just its history and beauty it's a pillar of democracy in a region rife with turmoil.  After 104 years of independence, the war in Ukraine triggered social, economic and political challenges; long-standing ethnic divisions are seen as possible cultural and security concerns.

Estonia remains committed to democratic national governance which has lead to becoming a global leader in e-governance and digital solutions, consistently ranking among the most technologically advanced countries in the world.

As transatlantic partners, Estonia and the United States share a commitment to democracy, security, and innovation. This strong partnership benefits both nations, fostering growth, stability, and mutual understanding.
