An ACIR-KPMG-ICPA Atlanta Chapter Joint Program:
on
"Trade Policies in a New World Order"
ACIR is proud to announce our first ever joint program with KPMG and the International Compliance Professionals Association's (ICPA) Atlanta Chapter. The purpose is to build our relationship with these international conglomerates, and to educate members of all three bodies on how the international instability will affect business and trade across the globe.
This will be an educational networking event to deepen the ties between the three organizations/companies, and to expand ACIR's educational reach in the international corporate landscape of Atlanta.
This program will identify the current geopolitical trends to help you develop an understanding of their impact on the domestic and international investment climate. We will discuss the importance of the possible effects of current geopolitics on trade and compliance issues, as well as exploring the future of the USMCA and other trade agreements. With global instabilities ranging from the Caribbean to Ukraine to the Straight of Hormuz, we will identify key variables in the supply chain that will impact business, as well as wider financial institutions as a whole.
The event will be formatted with a lecture and panel discussion for the first hour and a half, followed by an hour of networking and discussion. There will be food and beverages (including beer and wine) for those who are able to attend.
Speakers:
Lecture on Geopolitics:
- John McIntyre- Georgia Tech Scheller College of Business
Moderator:
- George Zaharatos- ACIR's Director of Business Liaison
Panelists:
- Joe Burk- Global Trade Director at Yamaha and ICPA Chapter Coordinator
- Massimo Sapone- VP Supply Chain at Luxottica.
